I have published 2 stories already, it’s a poem and i’m still not a premium member yet. So, here we go.

This is my last story of the day, it’s kind of a diary and not at the same time. This month have been a blast and bless for me. I got my drive to write back after meeting new friend, a really nice friend.

She is a book lover, not the first book lover i met, but meeting her was a grace from universe. The first person whom i opened up with about writing and writer as a profession, since no one in my circle believes that writing can bring food to the table. She’s the one who really encourage me to write again. “I really envy of your writing”, “Your ways of using words are beautiful”, “This one is deep” that kind of stuff that i never heard before.

I once tried to stop writing since no one cares anyway. Writing used to be my sweet escape, but i really need money back then and i didn’t know how to make money out of it.

Until one day, my friend asked me to be a copywriter (actually it was only 2 days different from the time i decided to stop writing) and of course i said “say no more, i’m in”.

Long story short, i make money by being a writer, copywriter in a nice fancy cafe to be specific. It took me lots of busy days and sleepless nights to learn and done my research on what copywriting is all about. How to set up the mood and adjusting my writings for the brand.

A year goes by and poof! right off the bat, life slap me in the face. Pandemic hits, the cafe’s closed, things happened and i stop writing eversince.

I know i have to picked myself up, find a new path, a distraction from writing. I tried everything to kept me off from writing. But the funny thing about life is, you can never run from it. Writing was my calling from the very beginning. Since primary school even pre-school, i wrote almost everytime.

I then started to open my book again, slowly read and write again. 5 minutes poem, article, creative brief, everything.

And that was happened when i met her.

She’s my boss, so yea.

But i also found Equator, a publications on this platform, still not a member yet, but my fingers are crossed. So Kenny, (editor and initiator of Equator) if you seeing this, please sign me in hahaha.
